How to clean Eyelash Extensions

So, you need to know how to clean your lash extensions? Let me show you a quick and simple way to properly clean your lashes!

First up, let’s see why It is so important to clean your lash extensions regularly;

  • Any left over makeup, oils from eyelids, dead skin cells etc will build up around the root of the lashes. This can affect the growth of new lashes, if the follicles are all built up with debris.

  • Removing dirt and debris protects you against eye infections like blepharitis and lash mites.

  • Keeping the lashes clean and oil free will keep them looking fresh and in turn make them last longer between fills.

Surely those are enough reasons to make sure you're cleansing your lashes daily. This is what you will need to do it;

And that's it! Keep scrolling to see how it's done!

STEP ONE : Taking your oil free cleanser, dispense a small amount onto the brush.

STEP TWO : With your eye closed, gently use the brush to clean along the lash line. A buffing movement will gently lift dirt and debris. Use the eyeshadow brush and rinse it under the tap, take the water soaked eyeshadow brush and use it to rinse the cleanser from the lashes. Continue onto next eye until both are cleaned.

STEP THREE : With a dry tissue dab the lashes, removing excess water. You can also use a blow dryer on a low and cool setting to gently blow dry the lashes. Be very careful when using the blow dryer.

STEP FOUR : Using your eyelash brush (disposable mascara wand) brush the lashes back into place and you are done!

That's it! I do this daily, if you can't, at least try to do it three times per week (more if you're using eyeliners etc daily) It's quick and simple and a must to keep your lashes looking great. Your lash tech will thank you for it too when they see you coming to your appointment with lovely clean eyelashes!
