LMSU : WHAT I LISTEN TO
Podcasts! I'm the type of person when someone is talking to me or telling a story I can really imagine it happening. My imagination can take over and listening to people speaking about interesting and relevant topics really relax me. I started listening to podcasts in 2013. I was taking an overnight trip to London and I wanted to have something on my iPad that could entertain me for 12+ hours. Normally I will get tired of watching movies or I'll run out of music to listen to. I found the podcast app on my iPad and I searched the most popular. The title of STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW stood out to me and I looked at what kind of topics they covered. Their episodes looked cool, so I downloaded A LOT of them, ready for my journey. I first listened to one on how placebos work and I was hooked. My whole trip I kept trying to find wifi so I could download more. Since then, there's a few more (well 2) that I've started listening to as well. Here they are
As mentioned above, this is the podcast series that got me hooked. It's two guys Josh & Chuck who live over in Atlanta in the US. They cover really unique, relevant and interesting topics. The way they explain what they're talking about allows you to learn something new, in a way that you're not even paying attention to. It's like listening to a conversation between two friends. Morbid and twisted as it might be, my two favourite podcasts they have done so far is 1. HOW DYING WORKS and 2. HOW SERIAL KILLERS WORK. They cover things like Lewis and Clark, lethal injection, historical events, current events and so much more. I will listen when I'm doing my makeup, going grocery shopping, walking to and from work, cooking, cleaning, at the gym. It lets me zone out completely and learn something fun and new. You can find it on their WEBSITE or on the podcast app on your phone. A new episode comes out every Tuesday and Thursday #consistantAF
I watched Jenna Marbles' YouTube videos for years and have always found her hilarious. One of her videos directed me towards a new podcast YouTube channel her and her boyfriend had set up. I started by watching/listening to these podcasts on YouTube. Simply because I enjoy the content on their separate YouTube channels. The topics they started to cover were really relevant. Dealing with issues that speak to me along with talking about personal stories and experiences. The style they do these podcasts in is candid, lighthearted and honest. I appreciate that. They give their honest opinion on current issues, that sometimes get overlooked in old-school media (#56 The importance of Kanye and unfiltered voices). After their first few podcasts they became available to stream on the podcast app. A new one comes out every Monday and it's always nice to look on the app and see a new episode. I like to listen to it both on YouTube and on my podcast app, depending on my mood that day and what I'm up to.

Like a lot of YouTube viewers, I've watched the SHAYTARD vlogs for many years. They mentioned they started a podcast a few years ago and I listened to all of them up to date. The hosts are a married couple, with 5 kids. They are both YouTubers and founded the SHAYTARD channel. The topics they cover range from lighthearted to quite deep, covering issues like religion. The way their conversations flow between the two of them, it's easy to listen and zone out. They always give good insight and advice and it always puts me in a good mood after listening to them. Depending on what I'm doing I will either watch the YouTube video of the new podcast or if I'm out I'll listen on my podcast app. They have 157 episodes to date, GET LISTENING.
