5 Most Instagrammable Locations | Kyiv
Honourable mentions to; Independence Square, St. Sophia's Cathedral, Motherland Monument and Pechersk Lavra but I wanted to share with you some of our favourite spots (mostly restaurants/cafes) from our trip! Linked below are our honeymoon vlogs as well from our first time in Kyiv!
1. Odessa Restaurant - Velyka Vasylkivska St
We chose this restaurant on a whim as it is named after my husband’s home city. The interior is amazing. We chose to dine outside on the terrace as we wanted to enjoy shisha with our meal. Note that the shisha is not available inside, only on the terrace. Lots of vegetarian options with some really nice salads and cocktails.
2. Friendship of Nations Arch - Parkova Doroha
It was opened in 1982 under the USSR to celebrate the 1,500th Anniversary of the Kyiv city. We visited here during our honeymoon, it’s a great spot to take photos especially if you can go at a quiet time and get a photo there by yourself. There is a beautiful view of the city and the Dnipro River.
3. Orang+utanbar - Symona Petlyury St
A cool veggie cafe with jungle inspired toilets. It’s a super cute spot with a clean aesthetic. The food is pretty quick coming out of the kitchen and lots of healthy options! Tofu-nori sandwich is amazing
4. Kytaysʹkyy Pryvit - Ivana Franka St
Who doesn’t love a neon sign? Chill atmosphere with delicious Asian cuisine. So many dishes to choose from including a lot of veggie and vegan options. We found the portions were pretty big and not too expensive. Also.. they have some pretty interesting items on their menu ;)
5. Milk Bar - Shota Rustaveli St
A definite favourite for anyone looking for an instagrammable meal! Really well known for their brunch. A little pricy compared to other places in Kyiv but prices are definitely worth it. The snickers cake comes highly recommended.
