HOW TO MAKE VEGAN BAILEYS

Since being vegan for maybe years and converting back to vegetarianism I have found a deep rooted love for baileys, White Russians and everything else I couldn't have whilst vegan. Even after quitting veganism I still like to keep away from milk and dairy, as much as I can. I'm so used to coconut milk and other substitutes that I never gravitate towards dairy. So surely this should echo in my drink of choice?

I haven't found a vegan baileys for sale and I don't think I will in Dublin to LMSU how I made it myself. There's 2 ways to make this BAE leys, one using heat and the other just using a blender. I'm going to show you the method using heat. If you're interested in just using your blender the only thing you need to change is the brown sugar - use agave nectar or some kind of 'sugar' that will dissolve easily.

I realise a lot of you reading this may have no interest in a vegan diet, but it might be a nice thing to try, you may even like it better then the original!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 180ml fresh brewed coffee

  • 100ml of Jameson

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 1 can full fat coconut milk & 1 can light coconut milk
