NYX Micro Brow Pencil | Review + Swatches

I want to share with you a really affordable brow pencil that is super comparable to high end brands. The NYX Micro Brow Pencil, I use the shade espresso.

I have found this pencil to be so similar Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. But, it is a little less waxy and it applies a little smoother than the ABH one. The price is the only big difference, the ABH pencil costs around €25 whereas the NYX pencil costs €10!

The nib on the NYX pencil is very fine and it can apply super light and natural looking hair strokes. But, you can also achieve a darker more defined brow by just simply using more product.

After filling in my brows with the brow pencil, I like to top them off with the Glossier Boy Brow - I have a full blog post about that brow gel here!

Let’s see what NYX say about the Micro Brow Pencil;

Build full beautiful brows with our ultra-thin Micro Brow Pencil. This micro mechanical brow pencil is so precise, it coats even the finest hairs with colour for a natural-looking finish. Create more defined brows by filling in sparse, over tweezed areas. The super-skinny tip draws ultra fine lines, allowing you to create the look of natural brow hairs! In colours from taupe to blonde, black and beyond. Your arches will never look better after you fill them in with this creamy, high-pigmented micro brow pencil!

As you can see, they have some really light and cool toned shades which are perfect for fair haired people. I have dark brown hair and I use the shade Espresso.

Natural Brows;

Here, I’m not wearing any other makeup apart from my brows so I only filled them in very faintly.

Darker Brows;

Here, I have a full face of makeup on, so I have filled in my brows to be darker.
